The space
VILLA IRIS is a contemporary luxury villa, designed by the owner and AR3 Designs, that fuses organic and Mexican details. Located hillside, a short walk to beach and the Malecon boardwalk, you will be perfectly poised for the ultimate tropical holiday. Set at the top of a hill, and at end of a cul-de-sac, this chic villa offers magnificent views, yet remains very private and offers easy access to the beach and the bustle of downtown. Villa Iris has a spectacular top level with open entertainment, living and dining areas, all under a giant palapa. This spectacular space opens onto a spacious terrace with an infinity pool, a barbeque, an outdoor kitchen and 20 seat bar with breathtaking 180 degree views of town and the Bahia de Banderas. Alfresco dining is a great experience as you take in the vistas. Indoors at Villa Iris you will find a media room and Wi-Fi access throughout. Your reservation includes a chef service for 2 meals a day and housekeeping. Luxurious details from marble floors to concrete countertops. The interior palapa-style high ceiling creates a lovely overtone above the comfortable living area and magnificent dining area with a giant custom made table that seats 24. The villa accommodates up to 22 guests. The 4 master suites feature en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, and access to terraces with breathtaking views overlooking the town and ocean. The 2 (king and double-bedded rooms) share a modern bathroom. The 2 presidential style suites are located on the lower terrace with an oversized jacuzzi. The secluded 9th master bedroom with ensuite is located on the lower terrace and offers no views. During the winter and early spring seasons, the bay is visited by whales, dolphins and other intriguing sea creatures. Every day, the aerial dance of pelicans gliding along the tips of the ocean waves never ceases to amaze. Whether for golf or water sports, shopping or nightlife, there is something for everyone under the therapeutic Riviera sun. As the days wind down, recline with your favorite cocktail at Villa Iris and enjoy the magical sunsets!
Villa Iris comes fully staffed so you don't need to lift a finger while enjoying your vacation.
Villa Iris Staff: work daily 9 am to 7 pm. If you would like to stay later, that can be arranged at an additional cost, please arrange this request with your concierge.
Meal Schedules:
Breakfast is served on or after 9 am
Dinner is served by 7 pm
Late Dinner service is available for an additional fee
Chef & Assistant: Oversees Meal Service for 2 meals plus snacks per day including all shopping, preparation, serving and cleanup.
Housekeepers: 2 Housekeepers responsible for making beds, changing linens and towels, and cleaning bathrooms. Housekeeping service is from 10 am to 3pm. No service after 3 pm. No personal laundry.
Shopping Fees: The staff at the villa will go shopping before and throughout your stay for groceries for meals and whatever additional snacks and beverages you would like to have at the villa. They will present you with the receipts for reimbursement; there is a 10% shopping fee based on the total of the receipts presented from the stores. Reimbursement can be paid in cash (pesos or dollars) or via credit card (which has an additional 3-5% transaction fee based on the credit card company).
Tipping: We hope you are happy with the service; we are often asked for guidelines for gratuities in villas of this type. Tipping is customary in Mexico; however, it is a personal choice & is based on quality of service. The suggested amount is $30 USD per Each Guest per each Night of Stay. The communal tip is to be given to the chef, and he will distribute to the staff evenly.
(Ex: 4 night stay x $30 USD = $120 USD x 10 guests = $1200 USD to be given in one envelope to the Chef to distribute $1200 USD / 6 staff = $200 USD to each staff member).
Concierge Services:
We also provide full concierge services to every group that stays at the villa. Your concierge is here to help with planning all aspects of your stay, including arranging airport transportation, assisting with arrival meal planning, grocery pre-stocking, booking tours, activities, and spa services.
Guest access
Guests have access to the common areas of the villa and the bedrooms that they are renting. We use a tiered nightly rate system so that smaller groups who don't need use of all of our bedrooms will pay a discounted rate. We will rent with a minimum of 5 bedrooms. Villa Iris is a private villa so even if a group does not rent all the bedrooms, no other guests would stay there at the same time.
