Annie's Cottage is 18th Century and Grade 2 listed, and has been converted into a self catering holiday property suitable to sleep between 3 and 5 guests. It's full of charm and character with exposed beams, 3 foot thick flint walls and a large inglenook fire place. The fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and sitting room / dining room are all on the ground floor, and with a bed settee in the sitting room it's perfect for those extra guests. And to make sure those extra guests sleep comfortably, we provide a lovely thick mattress topper to make sure they do . The bedroom on the first floor and is surprisingly large with a walk in wardrobe, king size bed, and bay windows. Bedding, towels and tea towels are included in the price of hiring the cottage. There is also a single portable bed that can easily fit into the room to accommodate a small family.
Annie's Cottage has obtained a 4 star rating from Visit England (quality in tourism).
Outside the cottage there is a secluded seating area which is lovely for alfresco dining or just sitting watching the wild life. However we do have a lovely little robin who occasionally makes her nest in the post box outside the cottage, so on those occasions we have to move the seating area to in front of the windows so she can come and go in peace. She is quite happy for you to use the front door but she doesn't like sharing the post box with the postman so he has to find somewhere else to put the letters.
At Manston Court we have 3 holiday properties. Annie's Cottage sleeps 2 - 4 adults and 1 child, Well Cottage sleeps 2 - 4 adults and The Chapel sleeps 6 - 13 so if you would like to come and stay you can even bring family and friends (if you have to!). It's perfect for family gatherings and celebrations, or just to have a memorable family holiday where everyone can be catered for.
Also there are lots of free events during the year in Thanet from Dickens Week in July and Folk Week in August both in Broadstairs, to international volley ball tournaments on the beach at Margate, just to mention a few. You can see exactly what's going on locally when you go to the Visit Thanet website. And for something quite spectacular you can even watch the Red Arrows do their air display at Margate from almost anywhere in Thanet, and if you don't see them you can certainly hear them! And you can take a closer look at the planes when they are parked at Manston Airport where they frequently practice before the event. Why not come and see for yourself
