Field House Cottage

Field House Cottage is a traditional Lakeland slate cottage with whitewashed walls and exposed beams. There is a real log burning stove and the slate floor has underfloor heating, so you will be cosy warm even on those crisp clear winter days. The characterful bedroom has a 4 poster bed with an en-suite bathroom. To top it all, the courtyard garden has a private hottub with stunning views of Maiden Moor. Borrowdale is in the beautiful Lake District National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Our Cottage is a mix of old world charm with all the luxury of the 21st century.

Field House, Borrowdale, Keswick, Cumbria. We have panoramic vistas of Derwentwater, Skiddaw, Catbells, Maiden Moor (from the hottub!), High Spy, Grange Fell, Black Crag, Troutdale Pinnacle, Shepherds Crag and Little Chamonix on our doorstep. Ideal for mountain views, nature, walking, rock climbing, photography, painting, water sport, fine dining and general rest and relaxation. What did Alfred Wainwright say about Borrowdale? He called it "The loveliest square mile of Lakeland." We really do feel so lucky!

Although a rural location, 3 1/2 miles from the shops in Keswick, we do have 5 bars and restaurants within 1 mile and a few cafes selling homemade fayre.
